From 43 year old vines. Light yellow to deep straw.  The nose offers up a fruit dimension of apricot and pear enhanced by pleasant Acacia blossom aromas.  The palate is ample, rounded and fruit-driven and reveals faint, well-integrated vanilla notes.

‘Labelled as a Coastal wine because it combines parcels from Stellenbosch and Paarl, both planted in 1974, Roodekrantz is a first release from this grower-owned operation. And what a début it is: taut, leesy, appley and intense, with pastry sweetness and amazing line and length.’ 93 points Tim Atkin

‘Labelled as a Coastal wine because it combines parcels from Stellenbosch and Paarl, both planted in 1974, spontaneous fermentation and maturation lasting 14 months took place in older oak. Yellow peach, orange, earth and some yeasty character on the nose while the palate shows great depth of fruit, tangy acidity and a savoury finish. Complex and intense with some grip to the finish, this is super stuff.’ 95 points Christian Eedes
